Will my dwarf be a threat to the fry ?

just added a dwarf gourami to my tank. I have two small pattie fry currently in a breeding net for safety. If i released them back into the main tank would my dwarf gourami eat them.. or should they stay in the net for anothe week or so ?

Depending on how small, anything will eat them

The rule of thumb is that the fry should be bigger than the fish's mouth.

However, gouramis can suck water itno their mouths pretty hard, so the platties might be eaten. It's best to wait until they are at least a 1/4 the size of the goiurami.
