Hi All,
29th january I filled up my new 150L tank with dechlorinated water.
30th - Started fishless cycle with fish flakes - 2 times a day i would put a little sprinkle.
6th Feb - fish shop man told me stop adding dish food
9th feb, put some filter squeeze from an established tank and put it into my tank
10th feb - was given some ceramic bio noodles from established tank and put in same day into my tank.
MY PROBLEM:
ammonia was at about 3-4ppm from 4th feb and to 14th feb still it reads 3-4ppm. I havent added anymore fishfood since the 6th.
Shoudl it take this long for all the fish flakes to rot?? Why isnt my ammonia levels going down??
My nitritre spiked on the 7th and has gone right down to about 0.1 ( as of 14 feb)
My nitrate has been about 5ppm all week.
Am i doing something wrong
??
thanks,
dave
