Hi All,

Am a newbie to this, but love to have an aquarium. So, bought some 3 mollies. 1 male sailfin marble and 2 female mollies(1 sailfin marble and 1 black balloon molly).. Now the male started getting black colored spots evenly as a pattern on her body, tail and dorsal fin.. It had these black marking when I brought that even, but were not that prominent. They now are very clear and also look beautiful. I dont know if its any kind of irregularity/ or if there is something wrong with my molly. It eats well, swims actively, and I hv seen that mating with both the females  after chasing them a lot.... its still mating and looks fine... but wanted to make sure that these black appearances are no abnormalities...

Someone, please help me...Will attach the pics soon

A molly that is not full grown or that is under a lot of stress will often have pale colors compared to the same fish when it is feeling well. You have brought the fish home from what was probably a badly crowded tank and have given it a low stress home. It is bound to start looking better with more intense coloring.

yeah I bought that from an over crowded tank.... but can a white one develop some black designs on it... Of course, it looks lovely now... and also, it looks health and active too....

Here are the snaps...

Please let me know... :-(

The rows of black dots that you will see on that fish color are definitely a healthy sign. That is a very nice looking fish that is almost showing wild type coloration.
