friends i got only 2 tanks in my place..one tank its kind of large tank and i have 3 pregnant guppies + 3 female guppies + 3 male guppies + 4 platys + 3 swordfish..in my country we don't have breeding traps so what i have done is, i have put Lodz of plants in order to save upcoming babys! the other tank i have is a small one and i have 5 male guppies( i separated them from female guppies as they are troubling my female pregnant guppies).. now one of my pregnant guppies will give a birth very soon..shall i put babies to the tank where 5 male guppies are living? or what must i do.im a newbie please help me

most fish will eat fry and there is a good possibilty that they would eat them. They would do better in the tank with the plant's but most will probably be eaten it will come down to survival of the fittest has long as the plant's are quite dense then you might have quite a few survive.

u mean male guppies will eat them if i put babies to the other tank????

yes any fish will eat fry has long as they can fit in their mouth's it just look's like live food to them. But like i said has long has you have load's of plant's which are dense then some will hide in them until they are big enough not to get eaten

Hi there

If you have plenty of plants, then i would leave them in the main tank, some will survive if they are lucky, otherwise eventually you will be over run with fry.

Has boeingtech has said, the males will eat the fry if you put them together.

Java moss is a good plant for fry to hide in :)
