Hi ,i`ve bought some flourish as my plants and even my thermometer brackets ,are covered in black furry algae, but have noticed the ingredients contain copper and manganese will these harm my shrimp ,have loads of shrimp so don`t want to risk any problems ,please advise?

i use seachem florish excell and have shrimp, to be honest i never read the ingredients, my shrimp seem to be ok, but i will see what other reponses you get as it never crossed my mind to even check after it was recomended to me via here

The amount of copper in flourish is tiny and doesn't harm shrimp when doses correctly. You have black brush algae though, which due to fluctuating to low carbon dioxide levels in your tank. I think you need flourish excel as well.

What is the lighting over you tank in watts, do you know?

Sorry and what is the tank size?
