Will A File Fish Eat Aptasia And Is It Reef Safe

hi bae i have got mine from bluzoo but when they die they can wipe out a tank and has happend to few a few years back they carry a deadly toxic so i think you should stay away from them

ok so i saw a aptasia eating file fish in my lfs for 14 quid and they said it will eat just the frozen as i have to feed regulary as i have tthe mandy

they also said that long nose butterflys can sometimes eat aptasia but the yellow tang will have a go at it same with the copper band as my tang is there first so i reallyt dont know what to do

Let us know what it says Bae I agree with Scott, don't bother with the nudibranches unless you can afford to buy a big colony, i'm sure the aiptaisa ate mine

bae get the file fish and few weeks later get the copper band they are to lovely fish that would make a nice collection to your tank plus the butterflys dont always eat the aiptasia but least i know that the file fish will eat them

this is what it looked like

and i asked him if it had other names and he said they have alot of common names like aptasia eating file fish and stuff so just wanted to double check its reef safe

well i can now report hasnt touched my corals and he has eaten 5ft of aptasia ridden rock its great
