Hello all!

I have what I believe to be wild guppies ( though the guy at the LFS said they were endlers, they very well could be) and they are very small. Full grown male is about and inch, the females maybe 1.5.

I have an empty 20 gallon long (this is another one for those who saw my Asian themed questionnaire - I bought 2 and haven't stocked them yet!) that I want to put these into once the Summer ist over. They are currently growing out in a tub in my yard.

I have about 15 maybe. If that. I want to put them in the 20 long with 5 mystery snails. I also have some Mosquito Fish that I was thinking of putting in as well, they are from my pond - but damn they are nasty little suckers! Is there any else that I can put in with these guys? Something that maybe would eat some of the fry so that the population can stay down, but not something that would bother the adults?

Thank you!
:)

Guppies and Endlers are not the same even thou they can cross breed.

If they are Endlers there are 3 classes.
Class N ( Documented pure strain ) Not many LFS will have these because they need to be kept in their own tank to avoid cross breeding.

Class P ( Appears pure but no documentation ) LFS may have these but without documentation it means nothing.

Class K ( Hybird strain/ crossed with other live bearers ) LFS will have these but what they are is anybodies guess.

Think of it like breeding pedigree cats or dogs, only the ones with papers from a breeder or vet are considered pure bred and therefore worth lots of money.

I know. They didn’t come with papers and look like wild guppies which is why I don’t believe that they are actual endlers. I have some actual endlers which I believe are either Class P or K but it’s not these ones that I have in my summer tub.

This is the father of some of them. No papers of course but be I am not sure what he is. Endler mix or wild guppy. He has a high dorsal fin which you can’t see in this photo and his tail had a pattern which doesn’t show that great in photos either that is different from other wild guppies I’ve seen.
