Never heard of them to, can you describe them.

eah bascailly the same as neons, although the red is not as bright and the strip is green not blue se if i can a pic of some

Paracheirodon simulans is the siecntific name

don't think there that hard to find just down to if the shop wants them.

we have green neons on my works fish lists.

They haven't been dyed have they.

Me want, me want..... (as long as they're not dyed of course!) What shops have you guys seen them at?

Sarah

for the first time i actually saw a dyed serpae tetra. It was blue. They actually called it a Dyed Blue Serpae tetra. Poor fish, but it did look cool.

I have three green neons in my 29 gallon and 2 blue. They get along very well and shoal together. They look so nice together. When I first saw them labeled as "green neons" I thought it was mislabeled or something but when I brought them home and looked at them they were green, not blue.

I have 5 black neons though I'm thinking of getting 5 normal neons, maybe now get 5 green ones too.

Paracheirodon simulans is definatly a naturally occuring fish. Not dyed whatso ever. In my opinion it looks very simular to a neon or cardinal but the red and blue/green stripes are thinner. They are found in some smaller rivers off the Amazon.

i saw them at bridgmere garnden cnetr in the fish section, now as ripples, which is pretty well stocked to my mind, only have gne in small local shops before. and thanx littlie fishie, i could figuer out how to link the pic i had found
