well adding 8 females to a tank what do you expect

Yep. We women are sneaky. My hubby told my one small tank. I had a 10 gallon. Got a 20 high put it where the 10 gal was and put the 10 gal in my sons room. Took him over a month to notice the tank "grew". I also got a quarentine tank he didn't find for quite a while. :hey:

I fully support your sneakyism

Kevs wife here, i was totaly against him getting the big corner tank "but you know men" now i have aquired my lil guppies (i asked the man in the lfs to give me errr lets just say round females) so now im off to buy another tank for the landing so kev can have his quarentine tank back hehe.

The plan is i breed the guppies and endlers in seperate tanks from our main ones and then trade the young once grown on for food, meds or other fish for the main tank.. (the lfs has already assured us he will take them off our hands in exchange for goods especially endler) this way it will make the tanks cost self sustaining..

The kids have taken to it fantastically and love to admire the guppies, they think its amazing to watch them and their offspring..

Apologies if you already know this, but if you don't, it's SUPER important to keep the two in seperate tanks. Guppies and Endlers are very closely related and will frequently and randomly hybridise one with the other. To make sure your Endlers stay pure, they need to be guppyless. I approve of your "sneakiness" and good luck with all the little ones!

ha ha good on ya, it's always good to get something back from the hobby. pure endlers will fetch you a bit of cash too.

and i firmly believe kids should have pets, helps them to learn a bit of responsibility, so anythign that gets them interested is great :D
