Why Is Uk So Bad With Reactors.....

I just cant find one still after ages of looking,

This looks promising but sadly its 16/22mm where I was 12/16mm

again a nice one but sadly 16/22mm


there was a nice Jaqno but Cant find it anywhere...
I want a nice sturdy floor standing reactor.. all the good ones are in german and cant understand squat and dont fancy ordering without 110% confidence...
anyone have any idea as im sure im killing my cannister injecting into it....and I dont want a diffuser...

You can get the Jaqno on ebay periodically, from Advance Aquarium store I think. £4.99 with £20 shipping

I love the look of the very first reactor I posted up but just the sizes don't match with what I want...
Plus apparently the Jaqno gets 100% dissolved so no bubbles escape into the tank...(but I read it has been known to leak

looking at this one currently but with a Diameter of 12cm I think it's silly, And the Jaqno looks like it will perform better but I'm worried about the leaks people have had.


p.s Dave how do you find it, Do any bubbles from the Co2 escape into the tank?

To be honest I do not know too much how about how it works but I think it works very well. The reason I say this is if I run out of CO2 from the disposible for a week I can see a big difference in the plants. I have never seen any CO2 bubbles escape at all from it, from what I can see the Co2 bubbles go through the green mesh and is diffused pretty well.

How would you know if there are any leaks?

Gas leak wise only way to tell is if you mix washing up liquid with water.
and paste over it and check for bubbles appearing,

Sadly I have had not e-mail back yet from the Aquamas one,

if not I'll have to decide between the Jaqno and this

The only other person that I know was JamesC on this forum, he was the one that got it first and recommended it, so I got it, ideal for my 400 litre tank.

I have never had any water leaks at all from it. Do not know about Gas leaks, have not tested it but I am pretty sure that the disposible co2 cannistor would not last all that long if there was problem. I am pretty happy with it.

well I have read a few bad reports regarding the Jaqno sadly....
even tho its looks nice I have Decided with the Aquamas one which looks like it will do the job.

finally ordered from Aaquamas after a few e-mails exchanged. they were VERY helpfull along with Google translator I managed to order hehe
