Okay, here are my tank stats:

20 gallon flat hexagon
0 ammonia
0 nitrate
25 nitrate
ph. 8.6
kh and gh not avalible
no new decor
no new additions
no known harmful chemicals added to the tank

My problem is:
In the last 3 daysd, i have lost 3 fish. 3 days ago, i have noticed that my BEAUTIFUL HEALTHY male guppy had bloat. SO i gave him a salt dip and then he passed away after the treatment. Yesterday, i found a guppy ( female) dead stuck to the filter. THis morning i found a female guppy ( seemingly healthy last night) dead. I dont know what has caused this. PLEASE HELP.

Are these new aquisitions or have you had them for a long time??

I had a spell where I could also not keep this easiest of fish to keep alive.... Bought them in batches of 12 and they'd go in the first week....then heard of "guppy disease" - (no other name was given) that occurs when large groups of these are held together, like at the fish farms.... When a new batch was born from a lady that I just got, I immediately transferred the fry to a seperate tank and from these, I developed my stocks which eventually increased to 8 000 plus.... (sadly lost most in a freak thing the other day)

I have had them for about a month. They are about 3 years old ( most of them). The guppies around here are poor quality , but i got theese for free from a freind who has had them for 3 years. The male that died im sure was in his prime, but most the females look like there very old. Sorry about your guppies! I seriously dont know whats wrong. THe younger 3 month old ones arent getting sick and dieing. But i do have about 40 1 month old ones in a 30g tank, and everyday i see a dead one or 2 at the bottom, but i dont know why!

If there 3 years old I would just put it down to old age.
To have guppys for 3 years is very good.

Thats actually Ironic because he kept them in a 10 g tank with all kinda of tetra's, a freshwater eel, about 10 other adult guppies, alot of fry, and all other kinds of fish. So theya re very hardy. But i thought it is kinda weird that i lost 3 in 3 days.

I've kept guppys you can lose a few at a time then it settles back down again.

Soon as a guppy dies you can bet a few more will as well, it happened to me.
Just do a water change on your tank.
If there were old I wouldn't worry to much.
R.I.P.

I do have one question though. The male died of Bloat, but bloat is caused by poor water quality or poor nutrition, but there water quality is excellent and they get plent yof nutrition. So how did he get it?

Do you feed bloodworms.
Bloating can also be a sign of internal parasites.
Or his organ could of packed in with being old.

No i do not feed blood worms. Im pretty sure he wasnt that old. He swam very fast, always the first to eat, mating like crazy, colorful as hell, i just dont know why he got bloat. I had a female die about 2 weeks ago die from bloat.

Keep an eye on when they go the toilet, if it looks white and stringy or clearly mucas poo.
Guppys are prone to camallanous worms if there wild caught.

No, regular guppies, no wild caught guppies ( didnt know those were even sold), but i will keep watch, thanks!!

Ok good luck.

Also, why are i losing the baby guppies? At a month old, you think they would be doing great, and the ones that werent, would already be dead, but everytime i look intot he tank i see dead fry.
