One of my Botia kubotia (sorry if spelled wrong) Is laying on its side and breathing heavily. I have a group of 3 and the rest of them are doing perfectly finr as well as the rest of my fish. I have no idea what cuasedhim to become like this. Water conditions are
ammonia 0
nirite 0
nirate 0
Thank you in advance
One more thing hes also going crazy and kind of flashing

Sad news on the fish. I would re-check your water stats, Ive seen <5ppm nitrate test but never zero.

You sure he was not infected or anything? What are his tankmates?

Chances are it's another API nitrate mis-test. You could easily have 0ppm nitrate in an uncycled tank, but then of course, you would have ammonia and/or nitrite.

Good thinking, it is possible to be high enough its a false zero.

tank mates were A group of rainbows 2 other loaches and a farlowella. I rechecked the water and it was still 0 i think its mainly becuase of the plants in the tank

Using an API kit? Is the tank stuffed full of plants?

yea i am using an api liquid kit. And its not really stuffed in my opinion. But i do have a rather large mass of floating water sprites
