Ok yes i am new to this community.

I started this Hobby 5 months ago and had no problems with my 26 gallon tank.

But....

I had problems with my 10 gallon tank. I bought 4 nummy nose tetras and 2 have died over the week. Everything was great I had the water tested and have no idea what is wrong! through I noticed this week that the last one before it died it was trying to bury its head into the gravel and saved it by putting on the light. but next day it died the next day.

I have another question would bigger fish then Runny nose tetras work in the tank and live???

also the heat is on 75 degrees.

any physical differences in the fish from normal? Did the other fish start acting the same way after the first died?

no the fish were fine it was just that one fish, I have been through about 5 fish to replace that one and they still die I only have 2 left

Sounds like it wasnt cycled, burying its head in the gravel? was it itching? did it have small white spots? might have been ick...

ye smy tank was cycled... i waited three days

That is about as much good as well absolutly nothing you may as well have filled it from the tap seconds before you chucked the fish in.

please read up about cycling there are many good pages on here about it and do a large 60-70% waterchange imediatly.

In order for the filter bacteria to grow ther has to be a source of amonia but amonia is piosonus to fish and them being in the water produces is it.

READ THIS IN DETAIL DON'T SKIP BITS http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=175355

It will tell you everything you need to know :good: :good:

Also tetras are sensitive fish and need quite a well established aquarium 2+ months old. I would immediately transfer some filter sponge from your older tank and do a 50% water change.
