Why Have I Got White Stuff On My Sucker Pads For My Heater

i have some white stuff on my suckers for my heater, what are they?

is it fungus?

Not sure actually - but I alaways have it on all my suckers - and have always had them. Even on the internal rubber rings of my external filters. It doesn't spread or cause any harm. When I do my weekly tank clean, I usually remove them and give them a rinse too

I always thought it was calcium build up from my hard water?

yeah its calcium, it also make ye air stones go white and make less bubbles come up aswell
