Why Does My Guppies Gravid Spot Change Colour?

Hi I have 3 guppies. I have 1 male and 2 females. 1 of my females gravid spot Changes from pink/red to black an keeps doing this. What does this mean?

I think it may mean that she is eating well and the food in her digestive tract gives her a different shade of color. Is there some reason you even care about her gravid spot? It is a poor indicator of her state of pregnancy if that is what you are hoping to discern.
