They are really nice looking fish, but I can get 7 Panda's, Bronze, Albino or Peppered Cory's for the price of one Sterbai.

Just wondering.

Good to meet a countryman here :D

I am usually over at the Betta forums.

2 pounds is roughly 210 pesos :) a panda cory here cost only around 35 pesos or .35 errr british cents ? sorry for my ignorace :) how much do panda corys cost there ?

Panda corries cost more here, round about £2.00 to £3.50 depending on the size, bronze tend to be the cheapest sometimes as little as £0.75

My local fish shop usually has bronze, albino, pepper, panda and julii cories. It also has barbatus (quite large but very expensive at £5.00 a fish), sterbai and trilineatus at the moment. Also it has those larger cories, whose name escapes me at the moment, what other cories so people see in their lfs?

I've remembered Brochis you call the big guys, also I forgot the lfs also usually stocks pygmy cories too at about £0.65 each

Brochis (brochis splendens is the most common and called the 'green catfish') aren't corydoras catfish (corydoras sp.) but I think they used to be included in that genus. Very similar looking though. Other than those mentioned, I've seen blackfin cories which are also my favourite cories (besides bronze which I'll always love).

You're lucky Supersalmon, C. barbatus at my LFS are £19.95 a fish! C. sterbai are quite cheap though, around £5.00 depending on size.

Wow £20.00 for C.barbatus, sounds like the ones I saw are a bargain. How do lfs price fish anyway? Sometimes I go into the lfs and they have fish at one price, then the next day they have them cheaper or more expensive. Has anyone ever seen C.adolphi, they look really nice but I have never seen them on sale, think they must be quite hard to obtain

I have seen sterbai as much as £13 each!!!! Pandas usually go for between 3 and £5 around here these days.

According to my LFS owner, back in the 80s some corys would cost up to £50 each!!! so we should be lucky that breeding techniques have improved and we are able to keep many corys for the price of an 80s cory ;)

Ben

most fish around here are around 5 dollars but anything under 5 u can get 2 for 1 on sundays so its like 4 cories for 5 dollars
