Why do all of my female

guppies die after giving birth? i mean is it like this for everyone? :unsure:

and they give birth to small amount of fry..8 or something and i see like 5 dead on the gravel :sad:

now i have ONLY 12 guppy from 3 batches :unsure:

Usually they shoudln't die from giving birth. Maybe you are doing something WRONG. :p :lol:

Then again, maybe you're not doing anything wrong, maybe it's the fish themselves. Where are you getting them from? Are they healthy to begin with? Feeder guppies have a hard time making it to adulthood sometimes. Are they fancy guppies? Have they been in-bred for so many generations that they are weakened? Look for an unusually high percentage of deformed fry. Females with crooked spines usually do not last long after dropping fry. Select only the best fish and don't be afraid to cull any mis-shapen fry as they grow.

..some of her frys are deformed, i kept them and now they are STRAIT AGAIN! i cannot beleive it! and i cannot cull them..i just cant do it :(

anyways the guppy is very nice for a female, she is yellow with sorta flamy tail very nice, cant get anymore females of that color anymore..still searching! ;)

all of the fry is like a combo of the mom and dad...(DUH!!!) lol the next gen's color is really nice, plain red tail and hopefully snakeskin on it's body..so far all are females..oh well! :unsure:
