Why Did My Flowerhorns Kok Enlarge?

I don't know If its a sickness or what but my flower horns kok bulged out to like 2in he is a a red dragon and is 13in long in a 75. There are no other fish in the tank so it's not breeding but he is quite aggressive towards me maybe he banged his head or something but I am really curious

Sounds like he had a growth spurt..and it's not unusual for these guys to be aggressive. Have any pics?
