Why Can I Never Keep Hornwort Alive?

I don’t think it’s the temperature, I put some wild growing hornwort in a wildlife pond, took it out a year later from the half frozen pond and put in a discus tank at 30C, it grew really fast, I was pulling armfuls out each week. Don’t know whats killing it, do you have other plants growing well in your tank?

Yep, low light stuff like java fern/moss, vallis, lotus etc.
Got some hygrophillia polysperma growing like a weed in there too.
