What is going on? I have 6 amano shrimp and they are usually all over the place doing their own thing but today every single one is round the back of the heater by the surface and they have been there scavenging and standing practically on top of one another for hours now. Should i be concerned?? The temp is the same as always and they didn't leave even when the heater came on for a bit earlier.

When I first introduced mine they were all over the tank. Now they spend 90% of the day grouped together on one piece of wood and rarely wander off. They do enjoy the protection of being in numbers so are probably just settling down and starting to show their natural behaviour.

They are still there. i couldn't even tempt them off with an algae wafer. i'm down with them spending their time as a group but this just makes me uneasy...why would they be so obsessed with a tiny corner, there's a whole tank. Besides, surely they've eaten everything that was on it by now.

Mine were doing that this morning from time to time. I think they've lost the plot but it's nothing to worry about :good:
