I finally stopped today to look around. Not one unhealthy looking fish and happily the place was only about 1/4 marine. I gotta say the neon and cardinals really pop in their black backed tanks too. They had a lot of stuff you don't normally see in the chains too.

A lot of shops don't want pictures taken in them. I've always had to ask permission. Customers and employees don't want to be in photos, competitors can send people in for photos and then undercut prices - make sure you ask the store first and foremost. We're a phone photo culture, but...

Excellent ! Support them. Give them all or most of your business and spread the word. Independent operators have an uphill battle to make it.

They're all private. Some just aren't corporate. I've completely stopped buying equipment online unless independent local stores don't have what I need. If they are good ones, and there are 2 decent ones here, then without support, they won't be around long.
