Who`s Best With My Tetras?

Hi,
We are new to fishkeeping and would appreciate some advice on what to get next?
We currentley have 6 neon tetras in a 120L tank, they have been in there for 10 days now and we were wandering what would be the best type to get next?

Have you cycled the tank, do you have a filter and heater in the tank? How long has the tank been running before fish were added to the tank?

Hi, Not sure what cycling is? however tank has filter & heater and was up & running for 8 days before the tetras were added

Sounds like you are fish cycling this tank then which can hurt your fish. Cycling is the process when a tank gets enough benefical bacteria in order to be ready for fish, here is an article on cycling with fish http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=55309

I have been guided by the guy at the shop as to what to do, he had me add beneficial bacteria from the beginning and I have done 2 water tests so far which have been ok. I hope it will be alright? I just assumed that he would know his subject. It is awkward when you start anything new because there can be so much varying advice. many thanks for your help

im guessing but does that mean you added a chemical with beneficial bacteria in that he gave you?


cos apparently there no good........


if you have had the tetras in there that long without casualties tho then you must be doing ok......i think.
