Who Lives Longer

Who will live longer a male betta or a female betta. Or do they live around the same age. My oldest male betta was almost 3 years old. But my oldest female was around a year or so. But I have no idea if the female died of something in the tank or just of old age...

depends on a number of things, water quality, tank size, tank mates, foods, personaly health strengh...etc(the list goes on) but over all ive found my males live longer,but thats just my experiences and i have had more males than females so its not a fair test.

ya I have only had 1 or 2 females and 3 or 4 males
