I'm just wondering if anyone has some detailed plans on how to setup a wet/dry filter system to run 6 tanks at once?

I mainly need the piping plans cause I get how the actual filter part works just don't know how the piping would run and connect to all 6 tanks and how the overflow thing works to suck water back out of the tanks to stop them overflowing???

I would prefer to drill a tank rather than rely on overflows when running 6 tanks. Basically you just do a normally drilled tank (check out a Calfo version of the Durso standpipe) and have all the pipes run onto the top of the wet dry filter. You then have the return pump split into 6 (or have more than one pump split as needed) returning the water to the tanks.

You could use an overflow system (it is not too hard to make one from pipe) but again, rather than having the bit that goes tot he sump actually head to the sump, make it head to the top of the wet dry.

Depending on the size fo the wet dry filter you could either have all 6 pipes run there individually or have some or all of the tanks join and end up with fewer pipes going to the filter.

Just be careful with pipe sizes to make sure they can take the flow. Unless you are dealing with a huge flow, 25mm pipe should be enough for a couple of tanks and I would expect 32mm to be able to handle most and 40mm pipe to handle all 6 (though it is, of course, dependant on the return flow as to what rate you will experience in the drain pipes).

As an example, below is how I linked up the drain of two tanks which ran through the same wet dry:
