woke this morning to find my albino rainbow shark dead, gutted and eyes removed,

the tank consists of 19 tiger barbs, 3 black ruby barbs and 4 yo yo loaches.

initial thoughts were it will be the tigers but i have never seen them show agression or even fin nip.The albino has been trying to muscle in to the
yo yo's cave despite having various hideouts already.

are the loaches capeable of killing the shark, all are similar size about 5cm.

should i replace the rainbow ith something more aggresive like CAE

Ive seen yoyos get way too "playful" with other bottom dwellers such as corys and small plecs etc.

My bet...the loaches stressed the shark as they inhabit the same area and he eventually died, once he did it was fair game for all the others to get their share.

dont know how big your tank is but yoyos are social fish and love to be in large groups so more of those would be a good idea if you can house more.

Agreed, the shark probably died and then the other fish ate the body.
