Beautiful fish :)

How often do you do a water change? Your nitrAte should really be at 0 and your ph needs to be neutral at 7. Are his fins desintergrating in any way?

Change there water once a week been trying to lower the PH by adding Bogwood but it dont seem to be working his fins seem ok and he is swimming about like normal and eating ok im really puzzled because if it is whitespot i thought he would be rubbing on stuff but he aint.

it could be a type of fungus. espeically as the white spots seem quite large. Are you treating for whitespot at the moment?

Not at the moment i cant get to my lfs untill tomorrow morning.

Should i treat for whitespot first then when treatment ends if they are still there treat for fungus infection or other way round?

Hi,
I had some whitespot on my fish a while ago and this is what i did to cure it:

1) raise the temperature to about 29-30 degrees (gradually) but make sure you give your fish plenty of air!! should be on 24/7 for this period.
2) buy yourself some Melafix (which has teatree) and dose daily! I used a double dose to kill it off.
3) This method seemed to have done the trick for me.

I hope it helps.
Kind regards,
Mo

Hmm I just saw your video and it does not look like whitespot at all, it looks like a fungus!
I had one of these one time on my dwarf gourami and had to use a harder fungus treatment but eventually lost the little guy.. :(
Good luck!
Mo

That's not true at all.

40ppm is easily acceptable. In fact, many municiple supplies come with this level anyway!!

As for the Bogwood Boj, it won't have a profound effect on your pH Im afraid. You can try Peat granuals in a bag of tights, but that had no effect in my 300L tank either.

Generally speaking, as long as your pH is consistant is will be fine.
