Typical!
I finally looked to be near cycling my tank (which contains fish) and then white spot shows up on my betta - on closer looks I can also see that my tetras have a little of it too. I will try and get treatment for it today but other than using the treatmeant as instructed on the packagaing what else can I do? :/

Cheers

raise the temperature to around 29c during the treatment.
this will speed up the parasites metabolisum and therefor their life cycle.

yeah and dont forget to remove any active carbon from your filter and add an airstone if you dont allready have one. carbon eats meds up before they can do their thing, and meds eat up O2 hence the need for the airstone :)

I know exactly how ur feeling, I posted whitespot rampage a few days ago and although it's a trauma have been given excellent advice. My last dose of protozin goes in tommorow and all affected fish look better. However I have not seen my clown loaches for 2 days(tank heavily planted) and will go on a search and recovery mission on Thursday whilst doing water change. Plan to retreat with protozin on friday. Hope things get better. :D
