I've noticed some weird white worm like things attatched to my fluval internal filter. They sway back and forth as the water moves... it's probably some sort of weird bacteria.. I really don't know, but a couple of the fish in the tank have been pretty lethargic, and dull. I have 2 filters in the tank, so I could just totally clean it with hot water and start fresh.

Any advice/info would be appreciated.

If this doesn't belong here I'm sorry.. feel free to move it anywhere.

Sounds like some sort of worm. Maybe it would be best to be moved to another section. Can you get pics so we can see more clearly what they look like.

I would doubt it was bacteria, but maybe an algae, or could just be some inanimate debris.

I don't think I can get a closeup pic.. my camera isn't good enough..

it's only on the filter.. not on the glass, or the filter intake of the other filter (HOB)

I'll just end up totally cleaning it tomorrow if I cant find out what it is exactly.
