I have a 125 gallon fish tank, 1 green severum, 4 parrots, 1 jack dempsey... I had a pretty big Oscar but he just recently died. He gained alot of wait and some of his scales started wearing away. The other fish site I went to didn't help me and none of the fish stores helped me either. He started gaining weight when I fed them krill one day. Then, white worms started crawling all over the inside of the tank. My nitrates were pretty high when the Oscar was in the tank. Here is some information. Temperature is 80 degrees. Since I have been doing the water changes this week. My PH level has went from 6.0 to 7.2 . I'm sure my Oscar got sick because I didn't stay up with the water changes... but now since he died I'm ready to do whatever it takes. I'm been told to clean out my canister filters about every two weeks... How often should I really be doing water changes? Should I ever replace the media in my filters?
1. Water parameters. (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, PH, temp', Hardness etc) Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 60-80, PH. 7.2, I dont know the hardness yet.

I now have a parrot that is acting weird. He's sitting in one spot on the tank floor and it's just a random spot. He's never like that.
3. How often you do water changes and how much.
I have been doing a water change every day since thats what other sites have told me to do about the worm problem.
4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water.
I have been adding Start Right dechlorinator and some API aquarium salt when I do water changes. I treated the Oscar with Naladin, then Maracyn Two... Then other sites were telling me to get APIs General Cure but he died before I can get it.
5. What tank mates are in the tank.
