White Spots On Fish?

Not sure what a reed fish is it a cold water fish.

How big are the clown loaches as your tank looks abit overstocked to me.
Whats your tap nitrate reading.

Some whitespot meds can kill plants so check in the instructions.

what is white spot?

can i seperate the fish in hospital tanks to treat? or will the white spot still be in the tank?

Thats fine then if the clown loaches are still little.
I would check on using whitespot meds with reed fish as no nothing about them.

uuummmmm they are a bichir and an arowana relative

Wow can they grow into big fish.

Wow can they grow into big fish.

my lfs told me the biggest they ever saw was a 2 footer.

they said that my tank size is perfect but eventualy move all the other fish out and just keep him!

they said they like to get into small spaces and if they are given larger areas will be verry unfriendly, but i intend to give him a 70-100 gallon with a few of his own kind.

they eat out of your hand! so cute!!! love it! tries to climb out of the tank at feeding time lol wants me to hold him.

Not my type of fish but good luck.
Just check if you can add the full dose of med.

Here is a pic of springtails. They may not look exactly like what you have as the pic is highly magnified.

Does the reed fish come under another name as every time I put reed fish into the search engine it fetches films up.

Reed fish are known to be sensitive to some meds and it is recommended that you treat with half-dose so I would try to isolate it and treat the rest of the tank if it isn't showing any symptoms.

Sometimes called rope fish, Wilder.

Thanks nosoup4you.
Good Luck.

I never use that industrial stuff, instead I always use Melafix and it has cured whitespot in the past for me.
Increase the areation, raise the temp to 30 degrees (slowly) and add 1 1/2 dose of Melafix which is all natural and doesnt harm your fish, plants or invertabrates.
Good Luck!
