I have had my tropical fish tank up and running for six months. ive just had outbreak of white spot
ive treated with interpet anti white spot no 6, it sais its a two treatment cure ive put the correct
amount in for the size of the tank. can anyone tell me please when i should dose again it doesnt state
in the instructions.white spots on my clown loaches so far my other fish dont seem affected yet. HELP PLEASE.

Most Ich treatments can only attack the free swimming phase of the Ich life cycle, the spot and later the tank floor phase are immune to most medication. You should gradually increase the temperature (something like 1C every hour or so) upto 30C, depending upon what fish are being treated, so that the Ich life cycle is quickened and the meds can attack the free swimmers before they attach to a fish and create spots.

The higher the temp goes in the water, the more important it is to ensure the water is well aerated, by either dropping the water level below filter returns and/or adding powerheads aimed at the water surface.

Sorry, I'm not familar with Interpet no. 6, if I find anything about the timing of the second dose, I will edit this post.

ok thank you. ive been reading some info online and have indreased the temp as you suggested, and found out i need to redose in four days. again thank you.
