hi all. my fish have had white spot now for about 6 days.i have been treating with WATERLIFE PROTOZIN on days 1,2,3 and 6 as stated. well so far the white spot has not cleared and seems to be getting worse. now while treating white spot roughly when should i be doing water changes. do i leave it as normal and do them weekly or not.

plz help

Do a water change and gravel vac.
Then start treating again.

Have you raised temp to 30.
Have you increased aeration.

Parasites are meant to hate garlic.

Glad there some improvement.

Sounds more promising.
Good Luck.

I am just finishing up the treatment on my tanks after getting white spot. I read in an aquarium book I have that even after the treatment is done you may still see a few lone specks on the fish. These are specks that just haven't fallen off yet. Sort of like a scab? Obviously if more appear than that means it isn't gone. My tanks look pristine now, but for a couple remaining specks that have been on my tetra for a day or two. Doing my water changes tonight and hoping I don't have to retreat.

Disregard that last comment. I did some more research and I would make sure all the spots are gone! Apparently the book I read is outdated.

That's good news.
Thanks for the update.
