i have had tropical fish for a couple of months now which have all been healthy, then added some new ones in a few days ago, i noticed today one of the new ones has white spots and have bought treatment for ichs. i was told at the pet shop to remove the charcoal from my filter before using the treatment but i cant see that theres any charcoal in mine. i have a elite stingray filter does anyone no if these even have charcoal or anything that should be removed??
also i have been reading about white spot but cant find anywhere if my fish that is showing the symtoms will die??
thanks!

I believe the Charcoal is inside the plastic cartridges.

it is in the cartridge
take out the cartridge and just have the sponge while treating
keep treating for a few days after you see the last of the spots dissapear
then put in a new cartridge :good:

the affected fish should come around unless its really well developed
good luck

What treatment are you using??

I'd recommend protozin by waterlife, always worked for me in the past when ive been unlucky enough to get white spot.
