ello,
First post here. Had a 60 ltr tank going for about 6 weeks, started out with 3 peppered corys and 6 small neons. 2 days after they were added a cory died, and the 1 other didn't look to happy. Went back to the store and the guy there said that cos the cory's were in teh same tank as a load of columbians the lads there weren't making sure that the corys were getting enough food as the columbians were greedy beggers and therefore were starved. he gave me 2 more as a replacement as he said the other cory would go the same way, which it did. everything seemed fine until earlier this week the cory that was left from the original 3 i bought was infested in white spots, a neon had a couple on its tail, and 1 golden barb has a spot the top of its tail, although this doesnt seem the same as the other spots. After reading thru this forum (excellent advice you guys give i might add) i have treated with meds and also done regular water changes using a vac on the gravel, as advised by some very ppl on here, and the neons have seemingly cleared up this morning, altho the barb still has that speck on its tail, and altho the cory still has the odd spot its looking loads better in that respect, but it now stays right at the top of the tank at the surface (was staying behind the heater at the top yesterday just below water surface), not eating or anything, just gulping, he don't look happy at all. 1 of the other cory's had a spot just behind its eye, but that has gone now too. Is there anything else i can do for the poorly cory? Obviously i shall keep doing the same thing i have been for the next week or 2 to make sure it goes, but i dont think the cory will last much longer and the top fin has degraded a bit due to where some of the white spot was
Help would be very appreciated. Sorry for going on a bit
