White Spot On Platty's Tail

Hi everyone,
I came back from a 4 day holiday to find one of my plattys with a considerable sized white spot on her tail. (Picture included)
Other than that she seems fine. Swims vigorously, eats well and behaves normally.
Is it serious? Should I medicate.
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm no fish medic(still learning) but going by the pic it looks fungal, is the infected area raised?

Keep an eye on it for sure, I wouldn't rush to medicate needlessly (some medications can be quite expensive). Do a 10-20% water change and check all your levels. Looks fungal but worst case scenario it could be ich...
