White Spot In Bristlenose Fry Tanks Treating Tanks Now

we did have 60 fry bristlenose in 3 ft tank fish was fine in till last wk when we done a swap for two pleco's for 85 fry bristlenose
that was last wk and over the wk end notice couple dead
so had a real good look at them didnt notice anything before then
and they had whitespot big time so treated the tank with whitespot that was sat upto day (mon)we have abt 15 out of 145 left dropping like flys the bad thing is we put some of thwm in my other tank we have treated all the tanks but at the moment we have only lost them in fry tank so far
this is the first time we have had it this mad will try to get pic of them in a bit.so far only the fry and clown loashes have white spot in tanks wot we see

any ideas

When treating with meds with catfish in the tank, you should half the dosage.

got told at the lfs to put in 15 ml in 300 ltr tank and only 5ml in the 2ft tank and so on

added new fish in the last couple wks in fry tank two many really 85 at once (as swap)

but in the 300 ltr tank put in 4 bristlenose femles from paul roe lost one of them next day

had water tested on sat and all the tanks was good as we take the water to the lfs once a mth for a test

Sometimes with certain meds you have to half dose with scaless fish.
Young fry you definately have to half dose.
Have you raised temp and increased aeration with the med.

yes done that already just waiting now lost all of them part form 8 so got 8 left out of 144 fry in the tank droping like flys

Young fry can't take the full dose.
If you have some fry left I would dilute the med down with water changes.

done that abt a hour ago only put in 3rd of wot it shld of beed done water change will have anther look see if any more are dead
just looked got 6 left thats 40 today lost 80 odd yesurday ie bank holiday mon


all money down the loo

just hope dont lose any of the adults in other tank so far have none dead in the mean tank ware they come from

only the clown loaches got it so far

I wouldn't buy large numbers of fry unless you really have a big tank to accomodate them all.
Plec are massive waste producers aswell.

not lost any more fry got 6 left still so smoething working


but in my 300 ltr tank lost 4 females upto date doesnt look like whitespot trying to get pic of them but phone cam is ####

in my other tank where we have l182 notice that one of them have something going on around there eye will try to get pic soon only one tank is good out of the 5 we have set up

but they have breed this wk notice eggs in tank L182 have breed abt 15 odd eggs
