White Spot (Again You Say)

Currently i have two yoyo loaches, female molly, two male guppies, two plecs and 3 molly fry.

Now the white spots have started leaving the larger loach but they are still flicking against the gravel and ornaments. I have treated them with interpet no.6 anti whitspot, removed the black carbon filter and white wool filters. Raised the temp to 27'c. I treated and waited 4 days and treated again.

Whats my next step? Instructions dont seem to be very clear? Retreat 7 or 4 days later? When do i water change? Should i add aquarium salt to completly remove the parasite?

I seem to have read alot of different ways of dealing with it and left myself confused.

My fish were showing the same symptoms after treating for ick(which they showed signs of) then the flicking continued. I asked about and someone on here suggested it maybe fluke.

Is fluke gill based?

Theres 2 types 1 is gill and the other is body. Just type fluke into google. Is there evidence of white spot on any of the fish? Both of these diseases can be caused by poor water quality.

One of the loaches is covered in white spots. Looks better today as the spots are 99% gone.

Thats a good sign. Keep treating though, as it lives in the water for a spell once its dropped off the fish........ Oh and it may not be your own water quality that is poor as mentioned before, it can happen for other reasons

Ich is primarily a gill parasite. It's usually only when infestations become severe that we start to see the white spots along the bodies of our fish.

If your current method of treatment is working, keep your water pristine and treat for two weeks after you see the last spot disappear. It is then that you can be reasonably sure that you've finally kicked the parasite to the curb.

Can i do water changes in between?

Absolutely! Vacuum your substrate with the water changes as well, if you can. Just be sure to keep up with whatever method you are using in the meantime. (Example: replacing any medications or salts that are removed with the water changes.)

Interpet wasnt the right treatment. esha EXIT is the best! Worked in 3 days, all spots dropped off the fish (including loaches) and havent returned yet.

Don't stop treating. Keep up the treatments for two weeks until the last spot disappears. Ich is primarily a gill parasite, and the spots will likely continue to stay in the gills for a few more life cycles.
