Hi everyone :)

I noticed this morning that two of my fish a red wag tail platy and one of my three tiny neons have white spot. I have put the treatment into the tank and it says I need to repeat again on day 4, so this would be Friday.

Thing is, this week I was planning to do a partial water change and Filter change (its BI-Orb 60litre) as the tank has got rather dirty over the weekend and I wanted to get everything out and clean it at the same time. Can I still do this before Friday or will I need to wait?

Thanks in advance

Gemma

I have a Bi-Orb 60litre tank - every 4 weeks I do a 30% water change along with cleaning all the plants, pebbles and I put a new filter in.

Since I added the white spot solution they seem to have got worse - literally all of them (apart from my Gourami) are huddling round the heater rubbing each other or the actual heater. Is this normal? Is it a case that as the solution has gone in they will get worse before they get better? This is my first experience of white spot - I only had the solution in as I remember my dad saying it can come on at any point so best to keep some in.

Any advice greatly appreciated please.

If you water parameters are 0 Ammonia and 0 Nitrites, I am in day 13 of my battle with Ich and I am using Kordon Rid Ich +. Infected fish do try to scratch themselves against objects. After the Ich is gone normal maintenance should be 25-30% water change weekly.
