White speckles on bogwood?

I have just looked into my pair of breeding pearl bristlenose plecs and there is a large piece of bogwood in with them! on it there are white specles all over it? what could they be? i did a water change yesterday and today, could this have made them spawn? but they are scattered all over the bogwood? the only other thing i could think it could be would be that i had small annoying snails that were eating my plants in the tank, could it be there eggs? plec or snail eggs? please help!

Not sure never kept them, you might be better off moving this to the catfish section, good luck hope you find your answer fast.

could be a type of bacteria growth and harmless i think. hope someone helps soon

it might be some kind of fungus can you describe it?is it furry?

we've had this in one of our tanks too...

like tiny white grains of rice. we've not worked out what ther are either - but they are on some of our slate too
