White Sand Place To Buy

I was looking around Home Depot and Menards and they had white sand but it said not for aquariums. Any reccomendations. I found some on petsmart.com but it's like $20 and I was wondering if anybody has found any cheaper?

Pool supply stores sell a white sand made for pools. It's fine for tanks.

Or play sand used for kids sand boxes is fine. its what i have in all my tanks.

I got my white sand at Toys R US, the kids safe playsand stuff. Works great. Home Depot usually sells it too, as playsand, but they might not have it because its not the season yet, thats how the Home Depot near me is anyway.

My Home Depot had white play sand but it said it wasn't for aquariums so I don't know if I should try it or not anyways. I figured they put it on there for a reason.

home depot sand wont say made for aquariums. if its play sand for sand boxes you will be fine. becuase i have the white sand in my tank and i just washed it really well and i have had no problems. i just did this like 2 months ago. so good luck my friend.

I'll give it a go. It said Not for Aquariums so I was a little concerned.

well if it said not for Not for Aquariums then i dont know then. my bag never said that. well i m sorry for the bad advice. my bad just said play sand. so maybe we are talking about 2 different sands.
