White Rock

hey all, today at my petstore they just got alot of white rock, at first i didnt know what it was though they explained to me that i will not need to use any salts ect in my water as the rock slowy degrades into all the minerals for your water, would it be from the real cichlid lakes?

Most likely some kind of limestone. I highly doubt it is from Lake Malawi.
Is it holey? If so, it's probably what is commonly referred to a Texas Holey Rock, or honeycomb limestone.
