Hi guys
A week ago I changed my internal filter to an ex1200 on my 125 litre tank as it offered superior filtration in comparison. I moved all the media across to one of the trays to try to avoid a mini cycle.
For the past few days I've carried out water changes every day and over dosed on prime as I have been getting ammonia readings of around 0.25ppm. Really confusing me as to why but I can only presume the filter change has lost some good bacteria.
Fish all seem ok but I am aware just because they 'seem' ok doesn't mean they are.
Anyway to the point - I've just looked at one of my sterbai corys and he looks like he has a few faint white patches appearing on him? This isn't sand or salt like as described with ich.... Anyone got any ideas here?
I've been doing the water changes and will continue to till the filter sorts itself out - but I really really don't want to lose any fish!
Many thanks
Alex
