White Patches On Bogwood?

hi

i added a piece of bogwood to my cycling tank last week and have noticed that there are white patches on it and now there are some white specs on the glass aswell.

does anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?

the white stuff on the wood is fungus that is growing on the rotting material. You can take the wood outside and blast it with a hose. then put it back in the tank. Otherwise just leave it and eventually it will go away.

The white specs on the glass can be wiped off with a clean soap free sponge.
