Im noticing more and more some white milky stuff in my tank.

It is around the area where the water flows out of the filter and some at the top of the water line in the filter area.

Theres nothing in the actual water, thats clear enough.

My levels are '0' for Ammonia and Nitrite, low nitrate levels with a 40% water change every 4 - 6 days.

I add safe water and nutrafin cycle during water changes.

Lights are on about 6 hours a day in the tank

Thanks

Matt

i think i may have had something like this ages ago? disappeared didnt seam to harm anything

Sometimes the rubber fixtures, pipes, suction cups etc, can let out a kind of milky white reidue. its nothing to worry about & can be washed off in the sink.

Think i may have found the cause, it seems the algea wafers are doing this, i put one in a pot the other day in the tank as i was tired of them being scattered everywhere, after sometime the pot was covered with white fluffy stuff. I havnt used any algea wafters for a few days now and it seems to of put an end to it.

Thanks to everyone that replied and apologies for my lack of reply till now
