White Marks Along Oscars Back

My friend has an oscar that may have a disease of somesort, we cannot find anything similar as to what may be wrong with him. He has 3-5 mm white spots along his back, just his back no where else. They do not appear to be bumps, just coloration. He is kept with 2 other oscars and a catfish.

Does anyone know what this may be?

A picture would help, as would some info such as the results of water tests (numbers please), tank size, maintenance procedure, and what the feeding schedule is. It may just be some banged up scales, whic is common with multiple nw cichlids in a tank, or it may be something more serious.

They are fed once in the morning and once at night. The tank gets cleaned every second day from algae and left over food. and 25% water change once a week. This is all the info i have, as it is not my tank and i dont know a whole lot about it.
