An odd request I know - but I'm looking for as many as you guys know of for a future project! Researching both fresh and marine to see what is available, in all sizes. The only one I've come up with so far is the Gray Angelfish.

Freshie white fish:
albino cories
albino red tail sharks
White molly

black freshie:
black redtail sharks
betta
black skirt tetra
hypostomus pleco
black molle

grey:
gambusia
corydoras agasizii

just a quick questiom. what do you really want?

I'm tossing up a theme in my head that is going to need relatively uncoloured fish and background. Just having a hard time locating actual species and items as white, grey and black are very generic terms when searching!

Keyhole Cichlids, Black and White skirt tetras, albino corys, angelfish, some platies and mollies.
That's about all I can think of :p

An albino bristlenose maybe? You can have mine!

Black, white, and grey fish with the more colored live plants, and dark substrate would look cool!

I have recently got some Venezuelan Black Corys and they are beautiful fish.

Thanks guys much appreciated

Seems to be a real dearth of grey fish

Glass catfish, chameleon whiptails, Pictus catfish, black widow tetra are all somewhat grey.

Cheers - I've also added white guppies and banggai cardinalfish to the list

Don't forget the cardinal fish is a marine species

Black phantom tetras haven't been mentioned yet; there's also hastatus and habrosus cories. A lot of the albinos (BNs and cories) are more pink or yellowish than properly white.

Oh, and penguin tetras!

Yep I know, including marine species as well :)

marine eh? Cleaner wrasse is one. oh and how about the black humbug?

I was thinking about this last night...

I expect there are hundreds, if not thousands, of grey fish, but we don't know about them. Grey fish are not likely to get into the aquarium trade, unless they have some other interesting feature (shape, behaviour, markings) as most people want brightly coloured fish in their tanks.
