White Fungus On Driftwood

I just noticed a piece of driftwood in my 29 is covered in a soft cottony type of white fungus. i've never seen this before. any ideas? it just seems to have sprung up over night.

Mine did that as well when I first added it to my tank. I tried everything... boiling it, baking it... nothing worked. Eventually I just gave up and it went away on its own after several months.

I managed to kill mine by placing the wood in dilute bleach (1:20)
