White Film On Tank Surface?

Every two days or so, there's some cloudy-white film that sits on the surface of my betta's tank. If I get some of it on my finger, it's really slimy. I think it must be sometthing in the water, because the filter circulates it just fine.
 
Generally you get that white film in the surface when there is little or no circulation of the water.. Not sure exactly what it is, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't harm your fish... :)

+1 it wont harm the fish.you need more circulation to break it up.another way to clear it is to lay a few paper towels on the water surface to soak it up. :good:

Oh, thanks! It hasn't seemed to harm the betta, so that's good. I hadn't thought of soaking it up with a paper towel ^-^

well then it is just a film that appears when the water is still. the only solution: clean the tank! :hyper:
