When i bought my white convict pair on tuesday, you could easily tell the female by her bright orange belly and top fins. This morning however i noticed that the colour is all but gone. Without very close inspection she is hard to tell from the male.... i can see what i think is her egg laying tube? Not sure of the name. Could the loss of colour be due to the stress of moving? Or perphaps breeding related? As the pair are going about the motions.

No ideas anyone?

As of lastnight i spotted a LOT of brown eggs so that may of been the reason. Started off well, male and female both guarding the eggs. This morning however , the female wont let the male anywhere near. He is still chasing off the rest if they get too close, but she wont let him too close either  As good as it is to watch, i will keep a close eye on it , incase he/she gets a bit more aggressive.
