White Crested Blue Acara?

It may have been sold to you as a white saum green terror. A picture would definitely help, if available.

A picture would most certainly help, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of it being a blue acara though, some pictures on the net show blue acaras lacking gold edges.

There is a slim chance it could be a 'silver saum' (the TRUE 'green terror'), however these are quite rare, so as a preliminary judgement I would say you got a blue acara, though without pictures its not a certainty.

Well the man at the store was convinced that they are a breeding pair because they had dug a little hole in the gravel and were a little aggressive towards the other fish in the tank, would a green terror pair up with a blue acara? i dont think i want that

anyway here he/she is

are they still too young to tell the sex?

the first one most deffinatly looks like a green terror and the 2nd one looks more like a blue acara notice the black spots are more visable on the 2nd one which GT's dont have if i am correct ?

The fish with the white on the dorsal is a female blue acara, the one with orange is male. I had a pair that had this exact colour on their dorsal fins.

when i bought it in the store it had stronger markings, i think its a little bit stressed from the move.
